Probe/CRX get my Z.

At the track. E-Town to be exact. First run against a 1996 Probe GT 5 speed. My buddies, he has full exhaust/cold air and thats all I think. He runs a 15.4 I get a 15.9 best run ever in the damn car. Highly modded CRX another buddies poops all over the probe after we get home from the track about 2 car lengths. I can't believe it what can this CRX have? I know its a V-Tech and manual but he bought it modded and doesn't know what it has either. Its obvious it has full exhaust headers, cat back and stuff. I think it has to have some kind of worked motor though. ANd the worst thing is it was less than $1,000. I woulda bought it if I knew it might be capable of hitting high 14's.

I had a perfect launch slight wheel spin great R/T and 60 foot. I dunno it chirps 2nd too. The only thing I can think of was my full tank of unleaded. Its stock with 85,000 on it. I think thats a pretty normal time. Best stock 305 TPI run i saw personally was 15.8 with an auto. It runs great too feels fast.

Something is up with your car. 15.9 is slow so it won't take anything more than an average car at best to beat it. Chances are the CRX is just stock with a few simple mods. it could be modded but even if it is stock it shouldn't be hard to get it to go faster then 15.9. I would start looking things over to find the cause of your slowness. Your car should run 14's.

Your times are way off. With my mods and TBI I run low to mid 14's.

My car is stock. It doesn't even have a muffler or air filter. I've never heard of a stock auto 305 TPI hitting the 14's. Manual no problem but not auto.

I think he means he doesn't have an after market muffler or air filter. But I've seen cars without either before. lol

Im sure that means stock muffler and stock filter...

And Stu had an Integra faster than most cars on this board (probably faster than mine as well) and so what if he hangs out here, I do, dont own a thirdgen and probably never will... The rules dont say we cant.

I would say 15.9 is not a good time. Etown is a very good track so unless it was hot (even then, I only went a tenth slower in 100+ degree heat) the time doesnt sound right. Id say the cars out of tune or somethings up, it should be in the 15.0 range!
