Chalk one up for a V6

Last night i was coming home from the movies and I notice that some car had been tailgating me for a couple miles. I was going on average only 5 miles over the speed limit, so it's not like I was going too slow. Anyways, I get to a section where the road opens up to two lanes and some bright green Scion xB goes flying past me and cuts in front of me before his lane turns and mine continues straight. I just keep going on my mary way when his friend's in another xB starts tailgating me. There was about 5 minutes of this and we all turned on a 4 lane highway, which leads onto the expressway. The guy who passed me decided to slow down and cruise with his buddy so I passed him.

About a minute later I catch a red light and guess who pulls up next to me. The kid with the bright green scion which was also sporting 17s or 18s, decals, 6 inch tach, and the coffee can. I usually don't race because I know I'll get caught sometime but I knew the area well and there was really no place for cops to hide. He revved his engine at me, and I nodded my head. The light turns green and we both gun it. I got a great jump and had about 1 car length on him through first gear. I let of the gas lightly around 4k rpms to let my car shift because it doesn't like to shift at WOT. I kept that lead until about 70mph when I stopped. He did the usual flyby with his friend shortly after.

I was pretty proud of my little V6 for holding its ground. And i guess its pretty bad if you think your car's got something when you can't beat a v6 camaro. Let alone a TPI car, and they only run in the mid 14s.

What do xB's run from the factory? I was thinking mid to low 16s, which is where i think my car would be.

Boy, i can't wait for an engine swap...

yea those scions for some reason think they are fast. i had one(TC) in town about a week ago and i was with my cousin i went to turn left and he was going straight and we both we at a red next to each other. he revved at me and i of course cant back down. light turns green he guns it had the 5 speed chirps second so a few seconds later i was like f*** it and i floored it chasing his *** with my 305tbi auto. i was haulin *** catching up to him finally i passed him and got to another red light. we both launched and i just pulled about 3 cars off the bat as i hear him chirp second im already long gone and was still pulling hard on him.
