89 2.8 Firebird vs. friends 91 305 TBI Firebird
Alright, I've been arguing with him for a week about our cars (He's on this site too) He just bought a 91 with a TBI 305 and a 5 speed, t-top car aswell, 250 000 KM with a so called 'Hi Performance' Exhaust. I've got a 2.8 Hardtop car, 5 speed, 3.42 rear axle, new air cleaner, plugs, wires, cap, rotor, sticky tires, with aluminum wheels. Who would win from a stand still on a dry day straight 1/4 mile?
P.S I know it's a V6.. Blah blah blah not a real muscle car I've heard it before...

You're going to get your butt kicked. Unless his car is an over-abused, oil leaking, clutch slipped, no tune up having pig. I have to give it to him.

Ive got to say your friends got you. I used to have a stock LG4, the carbed 305 with the automatic, and i didnt have any problem outrunning my friends 2.8 rs, but his was an automatic too. so im not completely sure how well ur 5 speed will do

No, not yet. His needs a bunch of work to be saftied.. Like a drivers door, and some other stuff.. As well as an E-test, oh, and he's gotta have insurance, too. I think he said his quote was around $7500 a year..
