Transmission: 700R4,T5
Axle/Gears: G92
92 z28 vs. SS sliverado?? chance??
Do I have a chance. I have a 1992 z28. vortec 350, scoogy and dickens intake,ported plenum,ported runners,longtubes into a x pipe,700r4 trans. chance? I am looking into a cam and stall but have no clue what to get..

I've seen several of those SS trucks run and for the life of me can't remember the times they ran but I DO remember I wasn't impressed at all. They don't even come close to comparing to a Lightning or Vipertruck. I know when they came out with them they were all wheel drive which made them even slower, I think they got away from that on the newer ones. Do you have a chance? Hey, only if you're in the race

which ss silverado? the one form the mid ninteys with the 454 turd or the newer ones? i have a 04 AWD SS silverado and i will agree that its not a rocket, but as for you everyday pick up, its quick enough and has no problem launching. Its not in the same catageoy as a lightning or vipertruck so no use comparing them.

You got a little less hp but your in the same ballpark as far as tq. you also have alot less weight to pull down the track, your car was built to go fast, not so much the SS. If you can get a video :-)

Slow, you should win by far. You may be in trouble if he has modded the truck though, LS engine gain power if you look at them right, it's crazy.
