Transmission: 7004r
friday night racing..
I finally get a saturday off this weekend, a friend came over and we decided to cruise in the maro. we were out in his truck and saw two mustang mach 1's a bunch of GT's, corvettes, camaros, and a "Boss" 302 91 mustang, which I want to try against, it's highly modded. got into my camaro and never found any of them again 
I found a white 94 GT peeling out and gave chase, my friend knows him and all it has is K&N and exhaust, we get a light, on green he catchs me sleeping and gets a holeshot of half a car, we both spin for about the same time, staying even, then we hook and he pulls another car on me through 1st, I hit second and slowly start to creep on him, taking back half a car, with me back at his bumper, I hit 3rd and reeled him in with autority, pulled even adn put another car on him in no time.
I was kind of discouraged that I had such trouble against a 94 5.0 though.
later on I come upon a 88 Cobra, supposedly it's really fast, we get a light, but it turned green before we could both completely stop, I wait for him to go, I hear a slight chirp and growl of his exhaust, so I hit it. spun all through first and still pulled 2 cars on him. completely embarrased him through 2nd. It aint fast.
cruised around for a bit, all the sweet cars went to bed I guess, but I notice an LT1 camaro going the opposite way, so I whipped a U-turn and caught up to him on a freeway bypass, get beside him and burp the throttle a few times, I can hear he's already in a low gear his engine was howling, but he wouldn't go. finaly he hits it so i hit it thinking, but then he lets off again! i slow back down and he wont pull up. suddenly after about a minute i hear him downshift and hit it, he was about 2 cars back, I dropped into 2nd again and floored it when he got to my rear bumper. he pulls passed me slowly to where I was at his bumper then he stops pulling and I start to slowly pull on him! I get to his door and then i hear him hit the rev limiter I blew past him, he went for another gear, but he still kept losing ground.
I pulled an LT1!! sweeet
even when he tryed a flyby
One thing I noticed while I was racing.. My carb is WAY out of tune, I had black smoke pouring out my pipes like it was a coal powered steam engine!
definatly so hp to be gained with a leaner mix
but with my carb all out of wack, I was expecting to get walked by the LT1.
anyway thats my lameass story

As far as the carb problems, remember "lean is mean

I would most definitely recommend that you lean out the secondaries. If it goes faster lean out the primaries too. You really should pay with it at the track, but if you can't your @ss dyno should tell ya something
Judging from your engine combo, I'd assume you have in the neighborhood of 350-400 hp and a nice trans and gear to back it up. So I don't really think you had any serious threats with those cars....
Now go pick on someone your own size

hey, I'm just making my way up the ladder man 
yea I'm going to try and find a 97-01 GT, I have yet to see a new cobra in this town, there are a few LS1's though. I will be very happy if I can hang with them.

AND BOTTOM 13's?! That's lunacy, more like 14.0 @ 98mph, thats my friends times stock, and my reaction time is tons better, I have the slip showing that I won.
