What can I do to make my IROC faster ?!
What can I do to make my IROC faster ?!
I am about to get some mods for my car because I want to knock down about 1.5 sec in the 0-60 and also my ¼ mile .... rightnow my times are 7 sec 0-60 and 15.4 …
I was planing on getting the DynoMax Ultra Flo Cat system as well as headers, TPIS Airfoil, K&N airfilters and a new set of spark plugs…. I´m also doing a tune up and will exchange the stock plug wires to Accel 8.8s
At the moment it’s a complete stock convertible with 305 TPI auto ….2.73 gears…..
Do you think that I could hit 5.5s and mid – high 13s with just those mods ?? what else would I need ?

No, I don't think you'll be in the 13's with those mods. If money is no issue I would recommend getting SLP headers and a Hooker Cat-Back. If money is an issue get Edelbrock TES headers. The Hooker Cat-back is one of the cheapest, and if you're worried about sound, I love the sound of mine, and you can check out a sound byte of this cat-back on the exhaust board. If you really want to get into the 13's you'll probably have to change gears and your TC. I would recommend getting 3:42's, this will be the best all around gear for milage and acceleration. As far as TC, I'm not sure of what your power output would be, but you'll want to select one that has a stall speed at or close to the point where your motor creates max power. You'll notice the biggest drop in ET with gears and the TC. But definately get the headers and cat-back, as that is the week point of 305's.
