best way to launch
best way to launch
ive heard of many ways to launch effectivly some say romp the gas some say brake stand it till its about to break then let the break off and romp the gas others say power shift it {automatic} i was just wondering what have you guys found to have been the most effective and quickest way to launch

It really depnds on the car, stall and traction. If you have a stock cam, just stall it up to maybe 1000 rpm's. If you have traction problems, you don't want to satll it. If you have a high stall,obviously the cam and gears have been changed.
But if you have stock, don't sit and stall it up, or you will just heat everything up. just about 1000 rpm's, and mash/release when green.

If you're pretty much stock, just nail the gas. Not gonna make that much of a diff as is.
Powershifting is not in automatics by the way. It's shifting w/o the clutch.

Too bad if I do that I just do a huge burnout

powershifting is not shifting without the clutch its shifting without taking your foot off the gas.
