if I didn't blow my motor and was able to get better traction (using 205/60/15 cheap tires) I prolly could have done better if I had a good launch, and was more in tune with the car and the turbo (I can really say that one again since I blew the motor) so I will take the blame for it

if I had better tires and the right tuning done to the car ( I can't tune worth **** ) I should have been able to hit ow 12 high 11.

oh well

I'm back to my N/A days now

After going and reading each post before you yelled at everyone about the word "rice" there was only one person that used the word, and oh yea watch out for that VTEC :-/ you know what vtec seems like to me ? The cheapo gas boys decided to make the timing retarded in the lower RPM range for better fuel mileage and a little tq, and then bring it up to a fair level in the upper rpm range, wow, not scared, now next time be more careful before you starte yelling at everyone who posts.

you have no idea of what VTEC is then I take it

it is really about the timing but more about cams

when you are in the lower rpms it will use a smaller size cam (you know less lift and duration) this way you speed up the intake velocity so you can have good power downlow, better mpg, better throttle reaction stuff like that you know.
then at higher rpms there is something that will switch the cam to a different profile that will use more lift. more duration and more overlap for better higher rpms power

now picture this for your car

you are running around town on a cam with a 212/215 .450.450 or something like that

you then hit the higher rpms and now your cam is something like 248/248 .512/.512

you have to do nothing more then rev up the motor

ask me that is sweet
thank mazda for putting something like that (can't use a cam but still have variable intake duration and "lift") in my car
trust me makes a big difference

his car prolly
the type s would give you a good race I bet if not by chance win

but the VTEC is a very good thing

a shame that GM is not doing something like that in more of there cars

ok I just read your post a little about the S2000?

what does your granam run in the 1/4

I really can't see a GA beating a S200 unless they can't launch worth crap

but then again I am thinking 15 second car hhere

sorry if I am wrong I honestly have no idea on this though

now i will admit, you prolly have my car, but lets see how well you do against a type s..... or even my car with a hytech s/c. a GA has like what? 175 hp? btw, i like how your moderator's try to crack on things that they don't even know about and just to be technically correct, the rsx is an IVTEC, not VTEC.

Of course u know how GM likes to underate HP so i say im pushing atleast 190 from the alleged 175, 205 lbs tourqe is stock but prolly al little more, i just added a AEM CAI form the civics that fit me GA too

the type s is 200 hp, and way lighter then your GA, and do you have a dyno proving that you are pushing 190? also do you know how much the intake gives you? the injen sri has dynoed at +18hp for the type s

because my friend has one and i think its fun to argue with people like you... i know rx7speed doesn't own one, why don't you ask him this question. it doesn't say you need to own one to be a member. get over it

id say he will beat you...your torque may take him for the first 60 feet but then its over...id say with full exhaust and a cam you could take him...id say im pushing 200hp and i still might have trouble touching him...his car is about 800 pounds lighter at least

ok children

the GA GT will kick a stock type S *** I bet

now the type s might be a good race, though my nod is going to the type s there

and sorry to say but a intake pipe is not going to add 18hp over the stock one ...... unless the stock one had was pounded to **** so it was only 3/4 inch wide

or someone has a motor that is modded to be the ****
and I am not talking I/H/E
but a LOT of mods

i am only a ***** when you say something biased. to rx7, there is a dyno of a stock type s and then with an sri and the increase was 18+. i will see if i can dig it up. and when you say the gt will kick the type s's ***, i think you mean it will kick the base model's ***. the type s would win against a GA gt. and i do appreciate third gen's, i just don't appreciate some of the drivers. i have said before and i will say it again, i would drive one if it wasn;t so common

The RSX weighs about 3000 lbs... that's not 800 lbs less than a thirdgen... maybe 400 lbs

I think the RSX would get beat by both of his cars and a Type S would be a good run. I personally beat a Type S with a 16 or 17 year old driving. It wasn't even close.

BTW,
Honda uses VTEC
Toyota uses VVTi
BMW uses VANOS
I forget what GM's name for their variable cam timing on the TrailBlazer I-6 is
