88 GTA vs 95 M3

Was a race from a stop light with a good friend of mine. Only went 0-55mph Haha!

He had a passenger, and I botched the launch. We tied.

We are pretty much both stock. He has a "cold air" as do I. I have long tubes, smog and a/c delete.

Headers can really wake these cars up. So "stock"? Not really.

Re: 88 GTA vs 95 M3

As far as internally, we are both stock. Just basic bolt-ons. I definitely have more work done, and only tie that I6. Well, with a bad launch, but he hesitated, thinking my bad launch was me stopping and he had a 240lb passenger. i know I have about 100 more torque, but dang do those cars have amazing gearing.

Next time we run, I told him we need to go to a track. When that happens, I'll have vortecs and lt4 cam. Not telling him, of course

I would just port the stock heads, port the stock intake, get a 224/230 cam, and a stall speed converter, but that's just me. Nice run, some of those M3's are pretty quick...

Already have the vortecs, thought I would put them to some use.

Yeah, he was quick after he realized I was racing. I might try to run him again before I start to tear my car down, if he finishes replacing his head gasket in time. :P

Him and I like to go head 2 head often. So I will be posting more here.

Wouldn't bother with the LT4 cam unless you already have it.
Plenty of smaller cams that would require you to turn lower RPMs, make just as much power as well.

Someone I know is selling the hot cam kit for a pretty fair price unused.
