Tire size advice please?

Hey y'all so I got an 86 camaro and I have P215/65R15 95T on it and as some of you know 15's are hard to come by in terms of used (i work in a shop so used tires are "free" every now n then) so what I was wondering is can I use 16's instead? I'm not in the slightest worried about the speedo being off I just don't want to hurt anything else (trans, suspension ect.) Any point in the right direction is appreciated thanks in advance guys

Re: Tire size advice please?

You can use 16" to 20"... although 16" performance tires are getting slimmer pickings, too.
Your tire is 26" in diameter.
Since you are still running 215s, I would infer you aren't too worried about higher performance.
You could go all the way up to 275 in width and still easily fit on your Camaro.
Therefore, pick the next most available tire size between 215 and 275 width, 26"+/- diameter and 16-17-18" wheel size, and start wheel shopping.

Depends on what wheels you want, how much you are willing to spend. Search for posts by paul_huryk and his 17" CTW wheels. They have correct offset for 3rd gens, that have received lots of good feedback (and little to no bad feedback).
