Ok so my friend just bought a 2001 Mustang GT automatic. He is keeping it bone stock. I have a 92 RS V8 5-speed. I have replaced the exaust with a 3 inch pipe all the way back and added a Flowmaster muffler, an open element air filter, performance plugs wires and cap, and z-rated tires. I am planning on putting 3.73 gears on it as soon as I bring it out of winter storage. So if I get the new gears and we race, what exactly are my chances of winning????

 

I think he still has ya (If you got the lo3 still)

 

If he can drive he's got you by atleast a couple of car lengths.

With the 3.73 gears you will get rocked! Don't you think since you have the T5 and just a Flowmaster exhaust system, that you'll be getting outta your torque curve kinda quick? You'll want 3.73s when you have a higher redline and higher power peaks.

 

yeah especially since the lo3 makes peak tq at 2400 rpms (iirc)
