so im coming home from school today, and while im at a red light, i see a 92-96 C4 vette turn on to the road i was about to continue onto. right after that, my light turns green, and i gun it to catch up (its been a goal of mine to race another vette, most of their drivers arent into street racing). were about door to door, when the light ahead of us turns red (YEEEESSSSSS!!!!!) but to my surprise, the red light lasts only a couple of seconds, not long enough for the both of us to come to a stop! So were at a 25mph roll, and i go for it. i quickly put a car length on him, and pull easily, deciding "well, i guess hes not interested". i let off, but suddenly, i hear his engine scream (oh NO!!). i try to get back into this race, but were at about 50 now, and his LT1 is in its powerband, while my 700R4 cant decide which gear it wants to be in. he quickly puts about a car and a half on me, and i gave up. damn it!! maybe if we had come to a full stop... oh well, theres always next time!

I think if you raced him from a light, you woud of had him. Considering you make a lot more bottom end torque. I think with some of the mods you have done, you would have stayed ahead of him and he wouldn't be able to catch up. But, better luck next time, hope you get him at a light and show him that the L98 can hang with the LT-1's.
