Bench race me into the 13's
Ok nuff bout my make fun honda. Take a look at my signature and tell me what you think it would take to get me into the 13's. The g-tech run below was in good air, bout 40 ish degrees, but with slight tire spin clear through first. I can drop about a 100 pounds at the track, quick release stereo. I am only running 235/60/15's. You think I can do it with these tires or not. Also I don't completely have my timing worked out. My distributor recurve kit is giving me fits. I have it set at 15 degrees initial with 30 total and its all in by 3000. Do you think this combo has what it takes to punch my 3600 pound monte into the 13's or should i just dump it and get a third gen?

BMmonteSS, are you running the stock TBI heads? I have been looking at the Edelbrock RPM intake manifold like you are running but am not sure what heads to run with it. I don't really want to spend $1100+ dollars for the edelbrock RPM heads if I could get the same results from some in the $500-$700 dollar range. Just wondered if you got that TBI Monte Carlo into the low 14's with stock heads?

I love the edelbrock intake its the best 100 bucks i've spent on my car. They are just stock tbi heads off a later 305. the only thing i had to do is run a head spacer shim to keep the compresion down to a reasonable level with the flat top pistons i am running. I just did a compresion check and found a i got a low cyliner, bout 130 psi the rest pump up to 175. I'm 99 percent sure its a bent valve because i had another bent valve on teh other head when i first put them on. I bought them off a guy who swore they were fine
ended up they both had a bent valve i replaced the one but the other had pumped up fine at the time so i didn't pull that head. Guess it came back to bite me in the ***. So i'm runnin low 14's on 7 and a half cylinders!!!!
