damn realy thats only like 195 hp out the flywheel i was thinking headers, catback exhaust , filter would get my car to about 200 hp flywheel, wiht gears and posi id kil him off the line he spins all threw first gear, and the 3000gt weighs like 300 lbs more than mine, what kinda cam u got in it now, and u still running stock heads cause lo3 heads flow likke $hit.

oh yea true i got a motor for it but i wanna get everything set before i buy the heads and intake for my rebuilt 355, cause the 273s are pretty sad and the 355 will be sufficated with stock manifolds thats why me just gonna get slp headers and gears before i go and swap engines. My engines only got like 93,000 miles so me probably gonna swap it next year.

when I put headers on my car the major difference I noticed was that my car didnt feel like you poured water in four cylinders after 4500 RPMs. I shifted the car (automatic) into second that same day at 5100 RPM (on the freeway) and the car just felt better. I can image what some vortec heads and a cam are going to do for my car.

I think 15.4 is very possible. And I have never seen a naturally aspirated 3000gt run 14's even with mods, so it should be a good race as long as you have a good launch. Does your car hook up good on street tires or do you have drag radials for the track??? If you take him out of the hole I think you should win.

The 3000GT has a 5 speed....
My guess is that as long as you brake torque a little to get a better launch you might do ok for a little while....once you have to shift into third though, I'm guessing he'll get you from there.
It all depends on how well he can drive too....

is this still on the l03? do you really have that bad of traction problems? get the gears, the posi and headers and spend some money elsewhere.
