Possibly the highest concentration of third gens
Since spring has rolled around I have noticed an increased number of quality 3rd gen f bodies in the Bowmanville area. We have the usual amount of worn out and tired ones but I've been noticing some great looking Irocs and Gta's lately. For instance there are 3 3rd gen Converts in this town(roughly 10 000 people), 2 irocs and an early 90's firebird. I was out cruising around sunday in Oshawa and noticed a 91 0r 92 Z28 convertible as well as a sweet sounding red GTA, it was a 5 speed and as he dowshifted it made the sweetest v8 rumble(gave me a stemy!).There is a white GTA for sale in town as well, its a white 5.7 87-90ish hardtop, he has Auto trader signs in the window but a search of the AT website turned up nothing. He wants $9000 or best offer, seems a little high.Just thought I pass on my observations.

'Tis the season. I have seen quite a few 3rd gens. I saw a real nice 90ish Iroc Convert( triple black) today. I also a silver GTA, only this one was sitting on the shoulder of HWY 7&8. It was sitting there Sat. afternoon and when I went back later that night, the car was still there only there was two cop cars, a tow truck and another car parked around it. I figure it was stolen or something. I hope to be seeing alot more 3rdgens in a couple of weeks (Grand Bend).

lol, there's 5 Birds between my group of friends alone....me, Dennis - '82, white w/ black racing stripes, big f-chicken logo on the hood, hard to miss, (his doesn't see much light of day since the convert RX-7 came about, though...) Rob - '86, all stock, red w/ orage/gold accents...Luke - '88, deep blue (ALL slow 2.8/3.1's....
...oh well), and Jay with a white Formula....we go through Bowmanville on a regular basis, or at least 4 of us...but Bowmanville cops are a wee bit **** about things, and like to pull over teenagers in cars that give the impression of speed. It was almost rediculous how many times we got checked by local police this last weekend (Applefest, or something...?)..I'm sure there's SOMETHING more useful they could be doing...

Azure, I drove through the main drag in Orono last week on my way back from Peterborough, I didn't see your car along the main street(although what were my chances). We'll have to hook up some time, I'd like to see Bill's old car again.

Yeah, I live a small ways away from the actual "town" (hamlet) of Orono, so I generally don't find myself in there too often...right now I'm having the fun task of trying to remove those damn pinstripes (what a PITA), and get that bodywork done for when a friend hooks up with his paint gun setup....plus a new exhaust soon, as well as all of those little tasks I've been meaning to get to....hell, there's not enough time in the day.
For sure we'll hook up sometime, wouldn't mind seeing that car again, either...
Just a quick, unrelated question - the hood liner on the bird is pretty dirty, and I was considering removing it...some people said that it may not be the greatest idea, as it may pose a risk to the paint, but others have said that they've had there's off a long time and it's more or less just a sound deadening device. Anyone...?
