read this ad for an IROC
Saw this in the autotrader today:
..."RARE 1 OF 71 "PLAYERS CHALLENGE" IROC
Comment: street legal, LT1 Vette 305 TPI, Borg Warner world class 5 spd., full cage, race seat & belts. Incl. trailer, race slicks, rains & street tires. Safety & E-test extra. 1 LE susp. & brakes. Race proven. 80K km. $14,000. (905)471-3488. (WNYKG )"...
So how did a rare PC car get 80k on it ? Hey what is an LT1 Vette 305 anyway ? Can I buy one of those at CDN Tire ? Sounds like a decent package but 80k ? I figure the car will need atleast a partial restoration.
RP.

sure like those dyno numbers
92zeddar... Dyno Tested 287lbs of torque and 221hp RWHP. Ok, lets do this again... 1.15% x 287 = 330.05 lbs torque, and 1.15% x 221 = 254.15 hp. Out of a MILDLY modified 305.
I enjoy doing those calculations. Can't wait till next dyno day -- Kevin ?!?!?!?

Back when I bought my GTA just about every thirdgen ad I saw said "LT1". Ask a car enthusiast what an L98, B2L or LB9 is and a good portion of them won't have a clue.

I expect you can determine the authenticity by the numbers etc but for what it's worth the factory cage on those things was a really clean installation and the piece that went across at the top of the windshield was removable.

. We had time left to do another run on the dyno if we wanted. Too bad you had to leave, you could have been laughing at 92zeddar, or crying like some of us.
I will set up another date at the end of August, so you will just have to sweat it out until then. However, you can always get a couple of guys together and do an hour on the dyno. That is if all you want is a baseline. They charge $135/hr. Divided by three would be $45 + tax. Just a thought...
