Hello. Well, I've been looking for a nice 3rd Gen since September in the autotraders every week, however unable to find anything to my liking. I'm looking for something in showroom condition, with low miles (around 60k-110k area).

The car must be TPI. It has to be in showroom/mint condition, that is what I stress. I prefer a 5.7. I have anywhere from $6000-$9000 for the perfect one. If anybody can help me out I'd appreciate it.

 

Wow, I just had a look on Autotrader .ca and the low miliage cars are quite expensive, most are over 10 grand. You might be better off waiting until the fall to see if you can get what you want at a cheaper price.

 

No kidding they are high it must be the summer madness thing. I saw an ad for a '92 RS B4C with 17k on it, which is pretty darn low mileage, for $25k CDN -- which is a pretty high price. Is somebody going to pay $25k for a '92 even if it has only 17k on it ?

I've been watching the price of 3rd gen f-bodies on eBay and other internet sources also. In the US the prices for well optioned 3rd gen cars is rising and has been for the 6 months that I have been watching. Also the prices go up as you go west the highest prices in Canada seem to be in the Vancouver area.

I consider the trader to be "the book of Fools" some of the prices some of these guys are asking for certain things is jsut terrible, I dont even bother with that anymore, try the Tri-ad or other smaller papers.

 

red, good original paint, 89 Irocz 5.7. The upgrades are in the sig. 7500$obo. Car is very and i stress very, clean all the time.

sounds goood sofar.... the only 3 things i'm really concerned about is no rust, no mechanical problems, and showroom conditionness.

it has a tiny spot of rust, in the pass handle. Nothing but but a little surface. It has 170,000k's. Somebody has a ontario thirgen site here, and its on there. Whats the site for our ontario site.?????????? Its gonna be hard to find a mint thirdgen . My car is one of the nicest ive seen in original condition sooo think about it. Ill send you some pics and a complete list of upgrades. if you want.

Hey, easySPEEDcamaro, I looked at an 86 IROC in mint condition a few weeks ago, may still be for sale. Black with silver interior, AC, auto,superclean, no scratches just like brank new. Had a 305 (no TPI though), lots fo chrome under the hood, upgraded ignition parts and only 26K and stored. Ronal aluminum wheels, lowered 2". A few other minor changes but he kept the original parts in boxes. I have 2 pictures. I can scan if your're interested. (I'll have to figure out how to post them.) Bad news is he was asking $17K. I would have bought it myself but it's too perfect for regular driving and the price was way too high for me. I think the price can come down a lot. Lemme know.
