Need some help with wiring/power LED scanner

I just bought one of those LED scanners. I'm going to put it on the back of my rearview mirror. Anyhow, I am having a tough time figuring out how the hell to wire it. It has 3 wires, a power, ground, and ignition or something. Any ideas?

First of all... if you have an alarm, the extra wire goes to the alarm LED wire, then the power to battery and ground to, well, ground.

If you don't have an alarm, then find a fuse in the fuse panel that is only powered when the key is on, then tap into that line. You can buy little "hooks" that hook onto the fuse prong, and then you just plug the fuse in. It's easier to show, then it is to explain

One wire is 12V, another wire is ground, and the extra wire is alarm signal(most of them)

I bought one a while back that would only work with an alarm system, not on it's own.

i actually figured it out before i had a chance to post.

i just tinkered around with the fuse box, put the red wire in the alarm fuse, and the black and yellow on a metal bolt on my door. looks a little messy, i gotta clean it up hehe
