Dumb Questions Re St. Thomas
1. How much room do you have to stop at the end of the quarter. It's not like I'd be going that fast with a crapped out LG4 dish piston special it's just that the brakes aren't great - pads are OK but I'm worried about the front rotors exploding. So, do the brakes take a real beating or what.
2. I've never dragged before and from what I can gather it's not like you have you're own pits or anything. So what do you do with the crap that you won't want to have in the car when you're on the track ie spare tyre, air tank, beer cooler, useless air cleaner, spare motor
and tools if any.
Thanks

Hey George.
There's lots of stopping room. Shouldn't have to worry about it.
As for your stuff, if you pile it on the ground where the thirdgens are, there will always be someone around to keep an eye on it.
People at the track are usually pretty good and leave things alone.

You'll have plenty of shut down room. If those old musclecars with death brakes(4W drums) can stop, you'll be able to. You'll also have plenty of space to empty your car out. I'm sure whoever isn't running wouldn't mind keeping an eye on your stuff.
Would you mind bringing one of the R15's, if possible, so that I could check it out? I really want to get a set but i've never seen them in person.

Thanks for the responce - when I was racing karts I always just left my stuff everywhere and never lost anything.
What I have to find out this week though is whether or not my tranny has enough life in it to get me there and back. Gonna try though.

Axle/Gears: Yup -- they still work
soft landing
You will notice that the left shoulder area of the track is soft dirt -- they keep it that way for those who like to bail out of the car rather than crash it.

You could always pull a fred flintstone... bump to neutral and use your feet to stop lol...
If you want, you can ditch and smack into the dirt pile at the end... hehe if you do, can we pick and pull your car?
