Saturday, September 28th is THE last T-n-T for the GB Motorplex. It's a great track. I worked there the year they opened (1995). The gates open at 10am and the T-n-T portion runs from noon-6pm. It's $25 to "run whatcha brung". There are a few of us (confirmed ) going from the K-W area. If we meet at 10am at the McDonald's on Hwy 7&8 west in New Hamburg, that gets us there well before noon and gives us a bit of time to eat and let the cars cool down. We don't have to start running right at noon, but we'll be there in advance so anyone who wishes can start right at noon. I hope to see more of you guys out there. If you have any questions, let me know or visit teir site at www.grandbendmotorplex.com.:)

I would love to come out, especially since I had such a great time last weekend, but I already have plans to head down for a frat party in windsor. Hmmm beer, girls and a frat house, feels like I am back in university, tough choice. I would love to make it but I committed to this months ago. Have a good one!

Let's compare...
Frat party has girls
GBM has girls who like cars

Frat party has beer
GBM has girls who like cars drinking beer

Windsor is a 2.5hrs drive away
GBM is a 1.5hrs drive away

I think the choice is clear.

point well taken...well the way you put it the choice would be obvious to most people, but I did forget to mention 1 thing which would probably happen if I didnt show!

30 guys showing up at my place sunday morning after a night of drinking, ready to pull me out of bed since I stiffed them the night/day before after telling them for the last 2 months "ya ya I will be there, for sure this time"

Honestly if I wasnt doing going down there I would blow off whatever I was doing for sure, especially after the good time I had last weekend at sparta. I will for sure be at the October one if we do end up agreeing upon a date.

Huh, hang on, I'll ask my wife...

"Hey Honey, would you mind if I go to Grand Bend with the KWF, this weekend"?

"Yeah, I realize that it's our 12th Anniversary. Well, can I go...?"

"hey sweetheart, put down the knife, seriously now, someone could get hurt here...no...no..pleeeaase...aaarrggg!!!!"

"Hi, Tracey? This is Kev's wife, yeah, he won't be able to make it this weekend....or any other weekend, for that matter!"

It's only more sticky after the 60' mark
It will be interesting to see how the times are different after only 1 week. Presumably the cars should be running the same

I guess it's good for anyone with serious HP, but for the little guys...it can hurt

However, it'll still be a blast... racing is racing!

I was being fasicious. Because I couldn't hook a good 60' time I felt it was easier to blame the track

I got two words for ya Kev: "Wha-chih!"

Just kidding. 12 years is 12 years. Good for you guys! Have a wonderful dinner, light some candles, get a sitter for the kids. Put on some Andy Griggs ("Tonight I Wanna Be Your Man" will do nicely.), and show the little lady the time of her life. It's the best investment in the world and it makes itmore likely you'll be celebreating your 13th next year.

Don't listen to Mapquest, it's fragged up lately.

Where are you? 1 hour 15 mins, from K/W, plus whatever it takes you to get here...

And hey, the way Daz drives, he'll be there in 30 minutes. (Sorry Daz, you had to expect a few cheap shots...and I had to say it before someone else did.)

How to fing us...
We're going to try and grab a spot in the pits just past the Thunder Shack where the larger bleachers meet the smaller ones. You guys all know my car by now. I'll be parked near my fiance's silver '97 RS and our friend's blk '95 Firehawk...and hopefully a few others. Hope we have good weather! It's looking kinda iffy, but there's only a 30% chance of rain right now for Saturday. Bring your 2-way radios if you have them. We're bringing ours.
