Rear Bumper assembly.

Hey, would anyone know where I can get a good accident-free bumper assembly for my T/A? I know there was someone that posted that they were parting out a GTA not too long ago, just can't seem to remember who. I need it for a decent price, and it would be great if it was black, although any colour will do, as it will need to be refinished anyhow.

The problem is if you repaint the bumper it will start cracking again in due time (at least that's what I heard them saying). The plastic loses it's integrity or something

The cover is pushed in, the rebar is split and more than likely, the shock absorber is broken as well. The cover itself is pushed in and warped. It would cost more to fix that, than it would to replace it. They will both need to be refinished anyways.

Hey Dave, I have taken care of it now, but thanks anyways. Kevin V is parting out his '86 TA and I am getting the bumper from him. His is pretty much perfect, except it will need to be repainted to match.

No mystery, Kev was planning on selling his car anyways, and found out that it would be more beneficial to part it out.
I am also buying his Flowtech headers.

There wont be any problem painting that bumper provided it is prepped properly and they use the flex additive, as long as they do that it will be good as new!

Cool Kev. The headers are really gonna wake up your LG4. Do you have the after market cat-back yet ?

Hey Richard, I don't have it all yet, but soon. It will be a 2.5" mandrel bent I-pipe to a DynoMax Super Turbo muffler. I would like to get the chrome 3" exhaust tubes, but it depends on the cash flow.
I am hoping to notice a genuine difference in performance after the install.

I've found you get more bang for buck from changing out the restrictive cat to a more free flowing one. Then again they charge an arm and leg for cats here. So not sure on the bang for buck part then...

Dont go 2.5 man thats whats on mine now. If you feel like picking it up and bending it back out above the rear axle you can have it for free when I get my CB. You can get 3 inch I pipes for 100-200 canadian.
