I feel like crying

Tonight I went to the grocery store and when I was leaving I heard a loud exhaust pulling in and I turned and guess what I saw?

I know how you feel. I used to see the guy that bought my 85 Z28 in town all the time. He managed to blow the engine, tranny and rear end in the couple years he owned it.

Thats what you get when you trade it in for a sunfire . That sucks though man. Big slap in the face for sure... The guy must take care of it though if he fixed a fender and stuff.

That would depress the hell out of me now that I think about it because my car is a big part of my life - there's a sad indictment.

But on the other hand didn't you get rid of it because it wasn't a good enough base to sink a lot of money into ie. rust.

It was my first car so I will always consider it to be mine. Seeing brought back a lot of memories......

some of them are

The tranny swap, Building my fist system, my first race, my first kill, my first run down the 1/4, I learned how to drive in that car and I learned how to drive stick and take a car to its limits in it. The tire marks are still on my street from the night before i traded it in ask Slade about that he seen them.

I did get rid of it because it was not a good base but it still has a lot of sentimental value for me.

I am sure most of you have been through this

for old times sake.....

My car is my first, and hopefully I never have to do that. I think if I couldnt afford insurance I would just buy a sh!tbox to drive and keep the gta to work on as a hobby. Then when I finally could insure it... mama mia .

Lol that bastard thought of everything! Now you have to buy another one, and build it up way beyond his/your old one. You shouldve made and kept a spare key so you can take it out for a tour some lonely night when hes out of town .

That sucks dude. I guess in his own mind, he is taking care of it. He is trying to dress it up ( I guess) Just not how you( or probably the rest of us ) would. Maybe, you can talk to him. Tell him about the board. We'll talk some sense into him..heh, guys...
I am happy to say that my 1982 "bird that I sold , is resting comfortably in a dry storage with a new body and paint. The guy that bought it is a friend of mine and plans on restoring it to show room condition.Totally cool, I can't wait to see it again.

thats why you have to sell your car far far far FAR away from where you live and where you dont think you ever will live..that way youll never see it again...unless you want to..i sold my cavalier to a guy in peterborough which is like almost 2 hours away...buti crashed it 2 days before the kid came to get it...oh well...

youll have another one paul..

hmmm... i am going through a similar thing, i had to give up my camaro because the quebec winters were REALLY hard on her, so i put it in storage... but then somehow the girlfriend talked me into letting her drive it while im at school... but now she wont let me drive it because her insurance policy wont allow it. i am a sucker.

zfever!!!???!!!! dont do it man go get that car back, asap. If its under her for insurance, the ownership has to be under her name. If you two break up, your screwed man. Id be like, heres my old 24 speed woman. Sorry, it doesnt shift into anything above 8, back tire has a pinhole leak, and brake cables snapped so you need to use your feet to stop, ghetto style, tough living, but you will get used to it, and the rust cuts from the frame...

yea, i realize only now how retarded that was... but i still technically own the car, i have just leased it to her. i guess i figured it was an easy was to get things fixed, and have her drop in a new motor and all that. I sympathize with mr. Hughes though, other people somehow dont seem worthy enough, but then again at one point i was one of those people. hmmmm... i wonder who i would miss more if we did break up...
