Thinking of a purchase?
Has anyone seen the new Lakewood traction & lift bars for Camaro/Firebird and what do ya think of them?
They are big bucks and fairly new on the market, but I don't know if there a proven product. Any info?
Thanks, Martin.

I have the Lakewood LCA's and trackbar. The LW liftbar kit has been around for a while. I think it's avoided for a reason, I just can't remember what that reason is.
Are we talking about the same part? I can't find any info on it, just have a pic. It replaces the LCA and has an adjustable rod below the new LCA. At the rear it has a bracket that clamps to the axle. Looks like when the axle twists it puts all the load on the front LCA mount, lifting the chassis.
The only problem I can see it having, is the clamp not holding tight enough and the axle twisting inside the clamps. I think a couple welds should fix that possibility. Dunno.
I emailed LW tech, but of coarse they only say good things about it. Direct bolt in and doesn't change the angle of the LCA.
Looks like a nice piece if it works the way it's designed.

Acceld Z, are these the bars your thinking of? Just don't wanna waste money on them if they're no good.
Stang Eater, can you find out from work if anyone has heard about these.
Thanks guys.

Yeah we have heard of them, and don't really think they are worth it.....In my opinion it would be smarter to spend your money on a good set of LCA's...tubular or boxed, and a set of relocation brackets....alot of people are hooking decent with that set up...I plan on buying Spohn, if I don't get around to making mine....maybe some SFC's, Shocks, Springs and Adj. Panhard down the road as necessary.
