16spd or 24spd?

I figure I can save some weight with a 16spd, but I will have a better hill climbing pedal rate and a higher top speed with the 24spd...
Looks like sumbody thinks I dont deserve a license. got a letter today saying I have to go in for some group meeting to prove that I should still have my license on december 12th because I have a total of 7 demerit points. Anybody ever have to go into this crap? What are they going to b!tch about?

I've been there more than once.... the only guy I've ever seen lose his licence at one of those said:

"I got a sweet little red porscha... you know how it is"

As long as you don't say anything stupid like that, you will be fine. Is this the one-on-one meeting, or is it the 2 hour jobby?

Lol my highest ticket was in my beater though. Ill be like,
I got a sweet rusted 93 intrepida, you know how it is...
Just the 2 hour one group one for now. I got to go 2 and a half years with getting caught (the least demerit points you can realistically loose for an offence is 2) or Im due for a one on one interview.

Ive been there before, lost my license for 30 days. Guy was a real dik. Anyway, it didnt matter what i said, this guy was rippin my DL. He asked me why, i needed my license, so i said i needed it for work, as i lived an hr away from where i was working. All he said was You better find a place to live closer to work by such an such a date. That was the end of the meeting, all of 15 mins. I left, an in 2 weeks i had to surrender my license.
Anyway, times have changed an maybe so have the people, but when u go, be nice, jus like a court date

Good luck
John

That must have been the one-on-one meeting. They harder to get through. You pretty much have to claim that you had some kind of profound life changing event... and now you understand why it's wrong to speed.

The meeting I was referring to is the 2 hour group meeting... as long as you show up, dress nice and don't say anything stupid... you usually don't get burned.

Not to bad then eh? I plan to avoid the one on one if at all possible. I was reading up and it looks like its only 2 yrs to get a clean slate not 3. So I guess a year and a half and Im good to go... By then I will probly be at ubc in vancouver though. And I doubt demerit points get carried over when you move to a dif province . Thanks for the advice guys.

If your moving to BC, u have it made, well it used to be good anyway. I know a guy who got 2 DUI,s had his license suspended here for 3 yrs, moved out to BC to work, got a new license, bought a BMW an had dirt cheap insurance on it to boot. An he didnt attempt to hide anything.

Good idea to avoid the 1 on one interview as these guys seem to forget what its like to be young an all. Just do your group therapy and be a nice guy, be all goody 2 shoes an everything will be fine.

When ya walk out the door u can be all :lala: :lala: :lala:
Good luck
