When are you getting the knock though, is it on start up or after the car is already running? If it's on start up then discount it as they are just some false readings caused by the starter motor and other things just getting themselves moving. If you're getting lots of them and just during idle or a gentle cruise, then you might want to look into it a bit further. But 11 knocks is no biggie.

Knock is bad yes, but because of the nature of the sensor (it measure for a certain sound wave or something), it can pick up false readings as well. Try it again and make sure the engine is nice and warmed up. Bring the idle to 3200+ and hold it there for a short while. At the same time watch the counter. THe best test is to take it out for a run and log it. I would not be concerned about 11 counts though. Sometimes, not every time, but sometimes I even get 5-11 knock counts just starting the engine. One last thing, what octane are you using? with your car, you should probably not be using less than 91.

It sounds like this is happening after you're warmed up and driving for a while?
The computer as part of its sensor and systems check will advance the timing until the engine knocks to check the knock and timing system and after every startup.

If it only happens once per startup a short while afterwards, could be the culprit.

Are you knocking at WOT at 5000 or above, high/heavy load?
Is the computer actually pulling out timing?
