Where is everyone???

Where did all our members go???? It seems like only a few diehards are still posting. Being that it is winter I figured that there would be more posting going on. HMMM did we loose all our members or something???? I miss you all so much..LOL

Well that is good to know Paul Where would we be without a Mod> LOL! J/K. Well I haven't gone anywhere. All the other forums here seem to be busy...just not ours. Dang snow! GO away. We are getting it pretty good here in the Niagara Area right now. I had to shovel twice already this morning. The snow is very wet and heavy so I don't want it to build up to much. Well happy shoveling to all!

Hi Kieran,
Ya I'm here, just cruisin' the boards too.
Damn, lotsa snow out there today, gotta do it after work again.
Like you said, it's pretty quiet on our board, with the exception of people cursing their winter beaters.
Maybe we should start a post-your-beater thread?
Anyways, got to get back to work. Speaking of work, how's your situation?
Hopefully you'll have your business running in spring, I'm gonna need some detailing done. Later..........

Ron

Hey Ron. Yeah this snow is a PITA. Well I have a appointment with Human Resources for Thursday, and I will have to wait till then to see how things go. I will still do work on the side, no matter what happens. I am being told that I should really go back to College and get a Buisness Management course under my belt before starting my own buisness. I think I will do that, and see if EI will still help in getting me started on my new buisness. I'll be there for the people who wish to have something done. It will just have to be on the side and weekends for the first part , just to get started.

Thanks for the inquirery
Keiran

I don't know if I really count, I am in Oakbank,Manitoba. I only recently joined. I needed somewhere to get information on the 92 RS I bought so I joined. I must say that since coming here, I've learned alot and the people have been really helpful. I'm on holidays from work, so I've been checking the boards for info, doing work on my car, watching the World Junior Hockey Championships ( Go Canada Go ) and sleeping. Snowed alot here recently too.

Im still here also.

My wife has me finishing the Rec room in the basement and until I get that finished no working on the car in the garage. hmmm.

Its been pretty cold out in the garage anyway.

I thought I would warm it up with one of those propane heaters from Cdn tire but when I got it home and took it out of the box it said DO NOT USE TO HEAT GARAGE. Bummer took it back and now it is still cold out there.

Any ideas on how to heat your garage inexpensively??

Not too worry, I am still lurking in the background. I haven't had too much too talk about as the car sits in the garage waiting for spring. When I finally get the cash flow happening again, you will here all about it... maybe... Can't let all the cats out of the bag, right Dave.

Still here - "in altra ubris" (Avenging in the Shadows).. lol

Should maybe organize some kind of lobby against the new laws prohibiting aftermarket parts.

Show up at Queen's Park in our beaters and do doughnuts on the lawn; hell, maybe one of the moderators could handcuff himself to the front door of the legislature as protest or something.

I think that creating your new board, on top of the MSN one, may have helped to kill your activity.
The MSN one was different, but your new one is basically thirdgen.org all over again, with less members and less activity.

A board is kind of a self-sustaining entity. With more information, more activity, more members will sign up and keep coming back. Activity tends to increase/decrease exponentially. Once people start to leave, there's less point of posting 'cuz you know few people are going to read it. Therefore, more people leave, faster.

It's nice to see that you're interested in thirdgen's enough to start another board. But I think that if you want it to flourish, you have to offer something other than a smaller thirdgen.org. For example, one start up board I've seen was offerring raffles on car parts for like $5 to get some activity.

On another note, I'm still here! Although, like trigger said, there's not much to post on!

My last post was about my new minivan and you guys ripped on me for it.

I know everyone was kidding, right?

Anyway, I'm still here but my car is asleep now. I do need to have the posi unit rebuilt/replaced before the spring.
Has anyone else had a 9 bolt posi rebuilt?

Later

Bob

You bring up some good points ........maybe you & i could touch base sometime to discuss it further.
I was getting some flack from the hardcore guys that they disliked the MSN thing hense the new board ........these things take time this great board was not made this good over night but i hear what your saying ...........we have a Recomendations section for these kinda ideas ......i just might just have a job for ya !!

I am still arround, just been super busy with working a little bit and looking for suitable employment, just looking for employment is a full time job onto itself. Like some of the others mentioned, I am arround, just not posting a lot.

No new mods etc, everthing is still sitting on a shelf in my computer room ready to be put onto the car once I get a few bucks to purchase all the little stuff to finish things off, I myself too do not want to let the "cat out of the bag" either! :lala:

Actually now that I think about it anyone seen/chatted with Slade, he hasnt been on here for weeks.....us TBI boys have gotta stick together you know, ha ha!

I'm here, for what it's worth...

My only f-body news is I just won an eBay auction for some GTA emblems. Now I can hopefully replace that missing sailbird, and have another and two fender emblems for spares.

They'll fit purrrrrrrrrfect, but I need to get some bodywork done in the spring, as well as a repaint, so I'm keeping them off for a bit.

How about I sell you both a copy of my slip for oh say $5.00 each and then you can say you're in the 13's! Just tell everyone you've "got a few bolt-ons". HaHa

I will then put that $10 towards MY "tryin to get in the 12's club".

Holy crap! That IS bad! Personally, I'm leaning towards Chinet and Dixiecups for our fine dining on the "big day". We're having a barbecue, so it only makes sense. Think outside the box man, before it's too late!

And oh, the fe-mail man brought my 3.73 gears an hour..all the way from Texas! Yeah baby!

Hehe, once, while visiting my friends at the university of Rhode Island (my old school), I used CT money to bet on a beer pong game.

I've got a friend who's a bit of an addicted gambler (had his computer stolen out of his dorm room at gunpoint by his bookie), and he wanted to put money on the beer pong game we were playing. I told him all I had was Canadian currency on me, and I threw down a 10 cent CT bill, and told him it was $10 CDN! Haha!

Lost that damn 10 cents, too.

I was kinda thinking about a bachleor party for thirdgen members for myself and KWF, if the copper allows it

Maybe have it at Dave and Busters. CT money will be accepted as gifts(and any high performance parts that some guys might have lying around )

Just a thought..........
