Smog
Hey guys.....wow you have your own board!!!
Who'd you have to **** to get that?
(you should come over to www.fbodymessageboard.com
a nice place just for Canadians.
Anyways---I will be moving to Barrie this fall and am undecided as to whether or not to take my car--
do they have smog testing there? (I trashed my AIR pump opps)
thanks

If you want to re-register your car here, I found the hardest thing was passing safety. E-test, no prob, but my basically showroom '97 Escort wouldn't pass safety.
The car has to be absolutely perfect, and the mech doing the inspection better be in a good mood/finacially stable. CT quoted me $660 to "FIX" my car so that it would pass safety.
Maybe try to keep your Alberta registration for as long as possible. My Firebird still has Alberta plates on it (even though they've expired), and I think I might renew them when the time comes to actually drive the freaking thing.
If you have any family/friends in Alta, you can use their address as the one for your registration.
Goddamn man, you're leaving the land of the free (automotive-wise) for the safety check gestapo.
Oh, and another thing to consider is that ON requires a front plate. My Firebird doesn't have a holder, and I'm reluctant to drill holes in the nose.
