y is it doing this?

today i just installed my rims and tires and now when i drive i feel like i need to put effort into just keeping the car strate..steering wheel keeps yanking left and right. it never did this before i installed the tires and rims, can someone tell me what the problem is?? and what i should do?? could this be because rim/tires are not balanced right with eachother??

A little more info would be nice. These are the same tires and rims that you previously had on the car? If so are the tires that you have directional? Usually there is an arrow on the tires that'll tell you what way they should roll. If you swapped the left and right rims from where they were previously then this might cause the car to perform abnormally. Another issue might be an under inflated tire or tires, you might want to make sure that they are inflated to the recommended pressure. These are a few of the things that I can think of off the top of my head.

Should say what to fill em to on the side of the tire. Otherwise most are 30-32psi anyway.

What size tires were you running before? Yer right at the beginning size where tires start following any and every groove in the road so maybe yer just not used to it(what you describe is what it feels like). But if yer driving down roads with no cracks and that are level then something is loose and/or worn. To check jack up the front end and have the steering wheel locked. Then try moving the steering linkage back and forth as it would when you turn the wheel. To go a little further I'd check your balljoints also. If they havn't been changed in the last 2-3yrs they're due to be changed. Those are the most likely culprits. If both seem fine take a look at the suspension attachment points of the a-arms and struts. Then goto the back and do the same for your LCA's, panhard bar and upper panhard bar. If all looks good you might want to try a little toe out. It'll make the car a little less darty. By a little I mean another 1/32nd or 1/16th. Not sure what you're at now but you really dont want to go more than 1/16th in or out for the street.

I'm going to guess you had pizza cutters on there before.

Wide tires tend to dart on spring highways...

I also replace my balljoints religously at 2 years. NOT

same as what they all said - big tyres will dart around more and they will also accentuate any existing suspension problems that you already have like worn parts and so on.
