Cat requirements
Another newbie question here:
Since I don't need emmisions test (as the car is more than 19 years old now) do I have to worry about having a cat still in the system or would I be able to get away with straight pipes to like a say a cherry bomb muffler?

All the original emission schit still has to be on there. You might get nailed at one of those roadside inspection things even though the car doesn't have to be e-tested no more.

i had a catalytic off of my car because it was a 1984 and does not need an emissions test, but decided it was not worth a 380 dollar fine so i put it back on, call me a chicken but i figure i could use that money that i would have been fined someplace else.
