I need some recommendations for a tranny shop in the GTA.
I've delt with Mississauga transmission and they seem to do good work for daily driver's, - had nothing but bad experiences with Mr.Transmission, and Ammcco was O.k. BUT
I am looking to rebuild my T-5 - and it seems the only guys that know anything about the preformance buildups are the Mustang guys . Anyone have a contact or lead? I am hoping to put the G-force kit into the tranny - I'm not confident in my ability to tear down a tranny myself (I have never done it, nor do I have the specialized tools to do it), and would perfer some expericenced tranny guy to do it.

Don't really want to send the tranny out to the states if possible, but at this point, it seems this may be my only option.

 

no one take your tranny's to Mr. Transmission..man oh man i went through HELL with them..the one at Jane and Lawrence.

Driveline 2000 said they would do it when I had them change all the bearings in my 9bolt...the guy seemed like he knew T5's very well. He said $200 bench labour if I supplied the master rebuild kit.

 

ive had also probs with mr transmission in the auto mall here in mississauga.... they first did a rebuild supposively new parts and everything.... and said they had the tranny done but needed a new shift cable... then it needed this and that...i was fed up i was like...if you did a rebuild why should i need this and that it should already be there installed and workign properly.... blah blah blah anywho they rebuilt it...worked for a week...leaked....broke. next time...still leaked but worked...drove it for 2 days..took it back had them fix the leak... bout a week later the shift cable broke. so in turn i was back to mr transmission 5 times since the rebuilt transmission under warranty. luckly i had my moms van to get me around for when it was busted for school. other wise id be screwed. so i feel they did a poor job all the times i had it in and i wouldn't recommend them.
