Well, the car is done I guess. Less a few odds and ends. A few parts that can't be had at CT, but I'm figuring Chev has 'em.
Did the rear end swap last night...and the rear lowering springs.
In the pictures, the night shots, they show the lowered rear. Looked pretty funny with the front still at factory height. Finished the front springs today. Need sway bar connectors and bushings, went to CT in Kemptville but didn't have them. I've found that most of the little parts I've needed have been discontinued at CT. The car seems to be sitting a little funny with the drivers side riding higher - I'm hoping it just needs the sway bar connected and a good drive to get it to settle.
Need to get a hold of a steering wheel puller, still need to wire my monster tach and pillar gauges. Still need to put my stereo in, but really thats unimportant.
Did the timing today. Set it for 8* advance. 6* is the stock setting right? Does anyone know what the common advance is on these cars? Is there is a number that is generally known as where these cars like it? The 2* degree advance today made a hell of a difference...
I'm linking a few pictures. Just external and a few misc. shots. I was too dirty and too involved to get all the shots I would have liked. Once its home in a few days I'll clean it all up and get a load of pics.
Very tired now. It was definitely fun. If I could, something I would love to be able to do is make a living out of this kind of thing...
Anyway, pic link here. Talk to you all later. Any questions, just shoot.

Updated IROC Build

Just thought I'd share this...after all of this, I may have been talked into a complete/running Stroked 383. Carb of course. My TPI stuff would work, but why not keep it simple. 475hp and 525tq. I would however, be building this into a 91 or 92 hard top...I'm not going to tell you how much though. That is a secret.

6 deg. is stock setting for timing. 8 may be fine, might have to switch to prem. fuel. Might even be able to go a bit further. Every car has it's own sweet spot. Is that a stock PROM you are running?

About those K&N's mentioned earlier. Anyone of you ever send your oil off for analysis? K&N's are famous for letting lots of dirt into the engine. Try it then try again with a paper filter. Won't take long before you want to throw the K&N in the garbage.

Chris, I gotta say, as I told Hylton the other night, I absolutely love that colour. Is 1 of my favouite colours for the 3rd gen F-bodies. Actually it's nice on almost anything.
On your project, stay TPI (fuelie), carb is too common. The easy way out, and the way of the dinosaurs.
