Some new things going on, opinions would be awesome..

My girlfriend got into Humber College in Toronto, and she is moving home with her parents (In Grand Valley) because her mom commutes and she can save money that wopuld be going to rent/gas etc and go with her mom. Which I cannot blame her for, its awesome that she got in, and she needs to go forth with her life, we will still be together so, it's all good.
Now, what Im debating. I am paying $640.00 a month for rent here, but I walk to work. I could move with my parents, which is cool, cause I miss them, save money by not paying rent, hydro, food etc and buy a newer car and commute, its only about 80km per way and I would be about 10km from my girlfriend still lol. They are in Shelburne ON (my parents). So it would be a bit of a drive, but Ill get something newer (98->) with TCS, ABS etc etc, perferable AWD.
Now, what would you guys do, stay in kw.. or buy a new car and move home and save more money.
Also, what car do you suggest I look into, can be used for brand new, just looking for ideas.
Thanks guys

Im pretty happy with my 98 Grand Am that I used daily for the past year.Ive(we) put in 38K kilometers last year and the only problem I had was a blown brake line last week.Anything with less power will make long trips a chore IMO

GM's are still cheap to buy/maintain and fix so Ill go get a Sunfire or Cavalier if the budget is really tight

Move in with your parents, drive your black car, it's nice enough. SAVE EVERY PENNY YOU REASONABLY CAN!!!!! DON'T BUY SOME NEW CAR. When your GF graduates, if your still togeather (yeah, I know, Mr. Negative) you'll have a bit of a nestegg to start your life (togeather???)
Trust me, it's more important and you won't regret you didn't save later in life. Housing is a bi*ch today.
