I know there's a few people around here that are part of the Ottawa f-body club, so maybe someone can help.

Who will do estimates on vehicles for insurance- like the policies Lant offers (Silver Wheels and such)? They need to be in the Eastern Ontario area- Ottawa or parts west of it.

If you check Lant's site, they have a list of appraisers. I couldn't find any local and I emailed Lant, they sent back 3 other appraisers that were not on the main list.

I had Grandpa's garage do my car. He was pretty good and gives you a good package. They send a duplicate directly to the insurance.

Call you insurer. They need to confirm with you that the person you are getting is acceptable for them.

I called Lant and got some people in Eastern Ontario who do appraisals. I found out the roundabout way about Dave Muir- who I was already acquainted with but was unaware he was doing appraisals. He, unfortunately, mis-spelled Camaro on the appraisal and went out of town for awhile- so it got sent in as a "Camero"- hopefully Lant and the insurer don't have a problem with this.
