Are the distributors in TBI and TPI 5.0L, 5.7L setups from 86-88 the same?
Basically can I use a TBI distributor in my TPI setup?

86 used the big cap dist w/internal coil
87-92 small dist w/external coil fully compatible with tbi or tpi
