has anyone done a group purchase

i have seen on some of the other boards people doing GP has anyone tried it in Ontario the boys in the US dont seem to want to have anything to do with us.

also how much do you save doing one. if its worth it we could do one. and what would people want to do one for?

I'd go in on some MAC subframe connectors. That's about the only thing I need. Well, I need an MSD window switch but I doubt anyone else does.

I would be in for SFC's

Depending on price... I can get a set of Comp. Engineering SFC's here locally for $185.00 plus tax ... so if a GP gets me a set below $212.00 to my door count me in!!!

I am in for some MACs. I started a post a couple of months back on SFCs and most comments were that the MACs were cheap, worked well and were dead easy to install. When I called Rudy Held they were about $200 CDN tax out.

Let me know because I am buying a set the day the car goes back on the road -- my first drive was going to be to RH's shop to have the SFCs installed. Probably April 6th.

I wish we could get a better deal too. I did get the impression that RHs had done many of these SFCs before which means they can install as well as sell.

I don't mind paying the $200 if I can get a decent/professional install out of the same shop. There are benefits to this -- your thoughts ?

they build my engine so they get my vote. there not much to the install. just weld them in. just make sure the car is sitting on its wheels and you have good bare metal to weld too. i will do it at the club and have one of the guys do the welding. some people say to remove the carpit so you dont burn it from the heat. But i also heard that you can just wet it down to stop that.

was it 200 installed? it seems to be the best price.

The install was extra and so was tax on the whole works.

I can't see removing the carpet as the MACs attach in front to the portion of the frame that protrudes from the floorboards. In the rear it attaches to the swing-arm mounts. If I was buying some Spohns or Kenny Brown these weld to the floorboards so yes I'd have to pull the carpets. No thanks to that.
