I wanted to see what the community thinks on this one. I know some folks need the 3 day weekend to travel to and from the event. But we are also competing with graduations, etc.

Is Memorial Day weekend the best day for Expo? Tell me why or why not?

I think the idea of a 3 day weekend is good in theory, but as is in most 3 day holiday weekends, most people plan "family getaways", mostly at the beaches. Memorial day is the first legal holiday of the year. This will definitely directly impact turnout and participation. IMHO I think summer would be better as people normally take vacation time this time of year and might not have a issue taking that third day for travel. I also think the show should have been on Sunday so the people driving would not have to take Friday off as well.

Actually, I personally am good with it being on Sunday. I work every Saturday.

Tough call either way..but I feel the turnout would be better on a non-descript weekend(i.e not the holiday weekend)...but since i'm local,its easy any day. Any given sunday from 9-2 works well...

Labor Day? Make it a nice fall event?
