Nothing but worse problems every day...
So this week a I replaced the MAF. Every road led me to it. Before I replaced it, it started throwing a code 36, EVERY time it was reset, ran to closed loop, and shut off. Replacing the MAF did nothing. The wire that goes from the burn off relay to the MAF connector was pretty crusty at the relay end of things, so I cut it back and crimped on a new terminal. Then I did the flow chart for code 36. Everything is literally perfect. The ECM is not grounding D12. I replaced the quad driver just for the heck of it. No change. I probed the pin that tells the quad driver to drive that channel. It's not even being commanded to turn on that channel. So I got another ECM. Same crap. Yesterday I read that the park/neutral switch needs to be telling the ECM that it's in either park or neutral. That switch was kind of flaky, so I took it apart and cleaned the contacts. Still nothing. There is also no voltage on pin B2 (fuel pump signal) to stop the burn off from happening. The car has been running like complete crap. Stuttering, misfiring, and jerking violently. It's getting worse every day, and worse with heat. Today it even stayed running after I turned it off. Okay, so if I need new injectors, I can replace them. No big deal there. What does that even have to do with the fact that the ECM isn't even attempting MAF burn off? Can someone please help me?

Re. the last step...
Disconnect MAF burn off relay, ignition "on", probe black wire from terminal "F" to 12V battery power with test light
I got the new ECM and hooked a light bulb between terminal D12 and a positive source. A couple of seconds after the car shuts off, the bulb lights for about a second. The MAF is still on up to that point. The signal at pin B12 reports about 3 volts. When the burn-off kicks on, the voltage drops. It only got down to 2.62 volts on my meter. What does one expect for a meter that refreshes slowly and this burn-off cycle happens for only about a second.
Okay, so why the persistent code 36? I have seen that code 36 can mean other stuff, ignition-related. Does that apply to the '165 ECM?
Can someone please help me?

Haha. I think I've narrowed it down to an ignition issue. The first thing I am going to do before buying any more parts is to get a piston stop and make sure my timing mark is correct.
