LT1 heads on L98?

hi, i have a set of lt1 heads and i was wondering if i bought the scoggin dickey tpi base if i could use the heads on an L98 block? thanks

I dont think so....I think its the reverso cooling.

it is????do the water jackets line ne where close to each other? maybe you could get a gasket for a LT1 and put it on the block or an L98 gasket and put in on the Lt1 heads

Nah the block requires a lot of machining. Which means lots of $$$$. It wouldnt be worth the time. Get some L98 Vettes and port em or another good head designed for the block.

Stock LT1 heads will not fit an L98 block. The LT1 heads are reverse flow cooling. The coolant passages do not line up. The HEADS need the machine work, not the block. Its a marginal gain for the $$$ you are gonna spend. You can get a set of AFR's and bolt them right on. Its a big headache. I am gonna have to create a link to this tech article I have on this subject.
