TPI to CARB What do I need?

To answer your question, you will need to replace the distributor with a mechanical/vacuum advance unit. Your car can run without ecm input to the stock distributor but the timing won't advance. And you know when all that's said and done, you will have gone through more hassle and spent more money than you would have upgrading your existing tpi system. Otherwise, you're taking one step forward and three steps backwards. Keep your tpi system.
