Got some fan problems.....

88 Iroc 350 tpi

dual electric fans, the driver side fan is coming on when it should and running all the time its supposed to when the engine is running. The passenger side fan is not coming on at all while the engine is running. If I turn the engine off, turn on the AC switch and turn the ignition on without starting the motor the passenger side fan comes on, the driver side does not. If I leave the AC on and start the car the passenger side fan shuts off and the drivers side turns on. So pretty much the passenger side fan isnt coming on at all with the motor running even if the temp goes almost all the way up to redline. So any ideas what might be wrong? Thanks.

 

Maybe your AC pressure switch went fruity?

Its in the AC line down on the frame rail

 

The Quick fix to this problem, is take the little bit of time and wire the fans to a switch so you control the fans at will, does make a huge differnce. My buddy has had is L98 89 Formula wired since he bought the thing, currently my LB9 85 TA has it and it really does make a differnce, you can keep the car cool when you want.MAKE SURE YOU PUT A RELAY IN THOUGH, so you dont pop fuses, buddy learned the hard way, lol.
