Injector life??

My injectors have 125,000 miles on them. Should i have them replaced instead of cleaning them?? I don;t want to spend the money on the cleaning if they need to be replaced. Whats the life of an injector??
This is on a 350 TPI.

Thanks
Arcaidy

Just had all 8 injectors replaced with 19lb ford motorsport.
4 out of 8 were ohm tested to be NFG.They should be 15-17 ohms.Mine were 3-5 ohms. GM used Rochester injectors for some years(not sure how many)my 91 had them and from what I've heard they all go bad(something GM should have figured out before hundreds of thousands of cars got them.
Unplug each injector and take an ohm reading, then go from there.

It's all a matter of time and temp. Heat is the killer. I have
replaced injectors on engines that run on the hot side like a 3.1L
in a front wheel drive car at 100k while injectors in a cooler
running engine like a Olds 98 or Buick Park Ave 3.8L check good
at over 200k and even 300k. I worked on a Probe once with
just over 500k on it and the injectors were still good.

Putting a milage on an injector is tough. Ohm them and see
where they are at. That's about the only way to tell.

All 8 checked between 16.5 and 16.8.

Another question...
You can find LT1 and after market injectors for around the same price as cleaning them. Would this be a better step?? The injectors are off an 85 vette motor.

Thanks!

It sounds like someone put new injectors in your car just before
you bought it. Ohm readings like that tell me that they are new
injectors. Keep them and don't worry about them anymore, they
will last 100k to 150k or more.

LT1 and SVO injectors are too big for our engines in stock trim.
Bigger injectors are only needed after you have done some
major mods to you car.
