Idle speed set high cause code 33?
Over the weekend I replaced my IAC (along with a water pump and lower rad hose-- but that's irrelevant.)
I set my idle speed per Vader's document, but I set them higher than the specified 800 neutral, 400 drive. I set mine at about 1050-1100 neutral, and 700-750 drive. I set them this high so it idles a little smoother.. (cam makes it pretty lopey..)
Shortly after driving for a bit, I get a HUGE loss of power, and the SES practically blinds me. (obvious 33-- MAF high air flow) I scanned it, and yup.. 33..
I just replaced the MAF power relay, and checked the connecter on the MAF.. (connector is fine.)
There are no obvious air leaks on my intake (3" pvc setup...) But I could be wrong.
I have 2 questions.. will the high idle setting cause it to be sucking in too much air, causing it to read past the (IIRC) stock setting of 45gm/sec...
Also, where is the MAF burn off relay. I found the power relay only because of the red lettering on it that says "MAF POWER RELAY"
Thanks.. this is irritating...

i just reset my idle speed down to about 900 in neutral, and 500 in drive...
The problem SEEMS to have subsided, but I havent driven it on the freeway yet... That's the only 100% sure way to know..
If anyone has any more input, I welcome it.

Had the same problem before...
Try this:
1. Adjust minimun air Vader type. Then start up the engine and when the idle starts to "loop" slowly rasie the TPS a little and hold it there for a while, if it doesent stop rasie it a little more and so on untill you get a stable idle.
