Speed density or MAF?
Speed density or MAF?
What are the benefits from switching to speed density if you currently have MAF? Is it worth the trouble?
I know this may have already been posted but any relpy would be appreciated.

It has been posted so many times and is in so many threads and probably makes up 25% of the board that its almost rediculous to even ask

I have gone and done a search on past topics and none has sufficiently answered some of my questions. I have a near stock setup (car in sig) and was wondering what a speed density setup would do for me that my MAF can't. I want to run 13's with my car if I don't yet, (haven't had it to a track) and don't plan to fool around with a lot of custom tuning with the computers.
So, my question now is, with the stuff I have on the car now, and maybe a few more bolt-ons such as headers, and and intake manifold, would I benefit from switching to speed density? or is the MAF system good enough?

As long as your current set-up is running good there's no reason to swap IMO. MAF works great when it is working right. It can be weirder to tune and diagnose sometimes but that wouldn't warrant a swap IMO.
