I believe thats the diverter for the AIR injection system. Its hooked up to the air pump and controlled by the computer. It controls when air gets pumped into the exhaust system for emission purposes.

Do I actually need the hose for it...She's been running fine with no problem but would it be a good idea to get one anyways?

Thats a PEDEs valve for the Air Injection Reaction system.
