If you're running the stock 87, it's the peanut cam, only in roller version:

duration @ .050" (intake/exh) 179/194
lift (intake/exhaust) .350/.384
LSA 109*

The above cam recommended by smoken appears to be a flat tappet cam. If you are indeed running a roller setup, you should stay roller and look for a TPI specific roller cam from Comp Cams or another reputable company.

what q-mile times are you running with your 1le they should be mid 14's at least and the cam you have stock was good but changing it to a bigger one requires a performance chip upgrade i meant that a peanut camed car would gain a second

i haven't ran at the track yet, but race couple people who ran mid-low 14's i hang right w/ em. i'm hoping for 13's w/ my new hooker long tube headers, no cat., new cam and slp runners. i talked to some people at summit racing before i ordered the cam. i told them how it was a daily driver and it was go'n in a stock engine and they said that the one i ordered is the biggest i could run in a daily driver w/ computer controlled engine. they said nothing about upgrading to performance chip or anything. do u know for shure i will have to get a chip? let me know

thanx

Just so you guys know, not all LB9 cars came with the peanut cam. I'm pretty sure five speeds had a better cam.

I've only used JET and Holley AFPR's before, and they work fine.

I say you install the AFPR when the runners are removed, that way you'll save a bunch of time. I always try to do everything at once.

Yeah G92 cars did receive the L98 cam. The original poster had an auto car though so it had the peanut cam. Chevy power didnt have the peanut cam, check out my post of his specs.

G92 cars did not all get the L98 cam. I pulled a peanut cam out of my G92 iroc last year.
