Could a runner leak cause a ticking noise?
There is a ticking noise coming from my engine compartment. I originally thought that it was a leak on my exhaust manifold, but the sound seems to be coming from the fuel rail and runner area on the intake manifold. Could I have a leaky gasket?
EDIT: The sound seems to increase in volume when the car is moving (therefore, more air flow). I don't seem to notice it increasing if I rev it up in Park.

Usually no, usually it's more of a hiss.. The injectors tick like hell if they are clean/new.

Yes, but you usually can't hear injectors ticking while you drive.
My vote is for an exhaust leak, even though he said that doesn't seem to be where it's coming from. And like you said, as you increase airlfow/load, the exhaust leak would get worse.
Either that or an accessory is on it's way out and it's ticking as the engine turns over. Definitely not an intake leak though.
