Ok, so my sister made my engine die on me (note to people.. don't let family or anybody borrow your car while you're at work)
anyways.. i just finished taking the engine apart (LB9) and well.. a piston is cracked.. peices are missing.. so, i was figuring on building (or just buying) a bottom end (block and rotating assembly) and just slaping my TPI back on with bigger injectors and a new prom.. (or thereabouts)
somebody offered me 800$ canadian for my intake and wireing harness.. (a little over 500$ american)
i had begun to polish it and siamese the runner ports.. which he dosn't know yet..
they guy wants to put it on a 350 in a '56 showcar vette.. so i'll have to finish polishing it and then siamesing it..
my questions are
#1. is that a fair price for the TPI unit? (plenum, runners, fuel rail, intake, sensors and wireing harness)
#2. i want to stay fuel injected in at least one of my vehicals (was going to throw the tpi in a older car when i (if ever) get my 406).
what kind of EFI would work with a 400 sbc?

i just want to know my options on other intakes and their prices before i go and sell my TPI..

Yes, $500 is a fair price for the TPI setup including everything. I wouldn't sell the harness though if you are staying EFI.

thats a good price for a TPI. i usaly see them going for around 500ca. 750 to 1000 for a complete engine.
