Comp 280HR too much?
Comp 280HR too much?
I've got a shot at a used retrofit hydraulic roller comp cams 280HR camshaft:
280/280 adv
224/224 (.050)
525/525 lift
LC 110
2000 to 5500 rpm recommended.
Would this cam be too redical to run with a mild TPI setup on the street?
If it would work I might build a 1975(block) 355 with Trickflow heads and use this cam. Then modify my center bolt holes on my TPI intake to fit.
Maybe 9.3 to 1 or so. Sound OK?
Thanks!

I think thats a bit much not only for "Streetability" but you're almost over shooting the power range of a TPI setup. Not so much the duration (which is high) but the LSA is pretty narrow, that would be better suited for a 383 or a super high revving (miniram?) efi setup
