i've noticed that my car has good performance on and off at times. it's not because of the engine temp . some times when its at a good operating temp it won't even spin tires. when i floor it it hesitates about a second then goes. i can hear the engine accelerating but a second later the car moves.is it the transmission? what can be wrong?

Not even spin the tires when you stomp it? I hope you're going at least 25-30 cause anything under that in my 5.7l I spin the tires. All I have is exhaust, even before that, it still spun from under 25.

My car has a slight hesitation too when accelerating from low speeds. It's not noticeable if I give it more gas. I'm getting a tune up this week, so it should take car of that. You might wanna try a complete tune up. But I would just try some fuel injector cleaner first.

when they dont spin but the power is there because once it hits about 20 then it accelerates like normal
