Does anyone know where to position the dizzy when refitting the distributor on a HEI distributor for 350TPI.
I have not marked out any numbers on the cap so I need to know where exactly it needs to face.
I have the motor on TDC and I am stuck at that????

 

OK, since you are at tdc, make sure the timing mark is somewhere near 0. You need to point the rotor to the #1 point.
Here's a rough diagram of where each plug wire should go, and where the rotor should point at tdc.

This sould have you close enough to dial in 6' of base timing. If you have to turn the distrubuter really far to get that, you are probibly a tooth off.
